A Cruiser Remembers an Invasion!!! On a long sailing trip in a 38 ft sloop from Trinidad back to Florida, the boat stopped in Grenada, the first island in the Winward Islands on the long trip home. While enjoying a cold beer in an outdoor watering hole, the cruiser let it slip out loud; the sailor had been there before some thirty years before during the 1983 US invasion of the island! bar chatter stopped as the much younger crowd was very curious about everything.
